I would like to provide you with information regarding my soccer background. I am a former soccer player. I played years of youth soccer for a club in the Bay Area. I have been trained by the California Youth Soccer Association and the Sacramento Youth Soccer League. I possess various coaching and referee licenses. This means that your child will receive training in fundamental soccer skills with a focus on player development. My approach to coaching youth athletics is to help the children be an all-around player that is having fun. Soccer is a fast, fun, and physically demanding game. As a coach, I keep in mind that we are teaching children to play a game. I want to let the children enjoy the game. I will help the players learn the rules of the game. I will give them examples of excellent technique. I am also responsible for assessing the player with regard to their skills. I will help the players to develop solid soccer skills so that they can be ready to play at higher levels. If some of the players decide to play in high school, I would like the high school coach to notice that the players have good technical skills. I will teach the players how to play multiple positions so that they can have a good understanding of the game. I am a patient, positive, and prepared coach that will set a good example for your child through my professional approach to the game. |
