| Philosophy | ||
| I believe that in order to become a great soccer player, you must first love the game. Soccer should be fast paced, challenging, fun and exciting. Players will play/practice as hard as you expect them to so ask the boys to play and practice with all of their hearts. Also, soccer is a team sport. Learning to play together, to trust each person to play their position and to encourage and communicate with their teammates will create a successful team. There is so much to teach but I believe that if you focus on the 5 most important aspects of soccer, you will always create a productive and successful team: 1. Love of the Game 2. Fundamentals, passing, ball/foot skills and more fundamentals. 3. Play the ball aggressively, even when it isn't at your feet. 4. Good Sportsmanship, at all times, even when it is hardest to remain positive. 5. Working Hard, winning is great but doing your absolute best is even better. |
