| Started playing soccer in 1975 for Greenhaven Soccer Club. Went on to play for Sacramento United Vikings thru 1987. Played @John F. Kennedy High School and Consumnes River Junior College. Have played in numerous area adult leagues since 1988. Still playing actively in Folsom and Sacramento Mens leagues. And Coed in Greenhaven. |
I started playing soccer as a freshman in high school (in Minnesota) with the first-year-soccer-coaching head girls basketball coach. Though my introduction to soccer was less than ideal, I learned a lot about teamwork and my passion was sparked. After high school I moved to California to go to college and started playing year-round in various indoor and outdoor rec teams, since averaging about 5-6 games a week. I’m absolutely hooked on soccer and when I accepted my first role as an assistant coach, I knew coaching was going to be my second passion. In my day job, I work for UC Davis Department of Campus Recreation. I’m the Assistant Director of Youth Programs (think camp director) and have a huge passion for working with youth. |
