Land Park Soccer Club (LPSC) and Greenhaven Soccer Club (GHSC) have decided to cooperate closely on the development and management of their Select soccer programs. The two clubs have decided to hold joint tryouts for their prospective Select players. These joint tryouts are meant to provide the most opportunity to play Select to the largest number of players. The clubs intend to have at least 1 team at each age level for both boys and girls.
LPSC and GHSC have also agreed to form the Sacramento Soccer Alliance (SSA). The SSA is a joint venture between the two clubs to promote and develop their Select programs. SSA will manage the Select program for many of the Select teams. All teams in U9 and U10 will be part of the SSA. Other teams from LPSC and GHSC will decide whether to join the SSA or remain in their respective clubs.
SSA will provide additional resources to teams from both clubs to improve the quality of training and coaching. LPSC and GHSC are combining their resources in order to develop the best Select soccer program in the Sacramento area.

The Sacramento Soccer Alliance was created in 2010 when the Greenhaven Soccer Club and Land Park Soccer Club formed a partnership between each of their respective Select Soccer programs. This partnership will give a larger number of soccer players in the community the opportunity to play Select level soccer.

To provide the soccer players in the Greenhaven and Land Park communities an organized, high quality Select Soccer Program with licensed coaches and trainers. The ultimate goal of the program is to provide players the skills that will give them the opportunity to play soccer at a higher level (i.e Competitive, High School) if they so choose.

Sacramento Soccer Alliance coaches will have the opportunity to have nationally licensed trainers come out to their practices and train their teams. The SSA is affiliated with many professional soccer trainers.

Sacramento Soccer Alliance Head coaches all have at least a USSF ‘E’ license, with the Assistant coaches having at least the USSF ‘F’ license. The SSA highly encoruages its coaches to obtain higher USSF and/or NSCAA licenses. The SSA coaches also receive in-house training from the Alliance’s Head Trainer.
